Well, I took the Blue House bowl downstairs and I thinned it down more and did all the finish sanding. It looks fine and Im going to let the fibers settle down for about a week before I apply the finish. Im very happy with this bowl.
On the other hand: Ive been working on a cherry salad bowl for a friend of mine and I decided it was time to cut this bowl down and finish it as well and unfortunately I got a "catch" in the wood and tore a huge piece out of it. It isnt repairable and Im going to have to discard it.
